Truck clipped my Max

Ouch! Thats gonna cost a pretty penny. It's a shame that the damage entered the 1/4 panel area or the price wouldn't be too bad. Hopefully the person that caused the damage is a stand up fello & will be on the ball when it comes to getting the damage fixed. Once you do get it fixed make sure that you are happy with the blend job there going to have to do on the 1/4 panel. More then likely there going to spray all the way up & blend the paint somewhere between the rear window & the edge of the door. Also, don't let the repair shop get away with not painting the gas door. That needs to be painted also to look correct.

obviously your gonna fix it...since you got clipped in the rear it was most likely his fault since the crash was his vision spot... When you get the police report, if you got one made hopefully, the codes will tell you whos fault it was.

Its been over 15 years since I've been in an accident. I just pulled up to the light and saw in the rear view mirror a truck and saw that it was pretty close to be making a lane change. You can't be defensive driving when you're in a grid. Stupid me forgets to get the guys' drivers license although I copied everything down from his registration. I guess I was a bit stunned from the experience. I'm covered under two insurance companies (gov't insurance corporation - ICBC and a private one - HSBC). Called them both up to put in my claim. HSBC gave me a list of local autobody shops and I could either wait for them to call me back or else go to the shop, pay a $200 deductible and then get refunded back. Since that rear quarter panel will be finished nice and shiny the rest of the car could use paint as well. Can't afford that now since I'm getting the house repainted. Out of curiosity I'm going to price out the rear tail lights and see if its just as expensive as the 2nd gen altezzas. There are not many junked Maximas in this town last time I checked.

that sucks, at least insurance is covering it, my car on the other hand, has been backed into, rearended, keyed, scratched, scuffed, and keyed and keyed and keyed and keyed, oh yea and keyed, my overall body is in good condition one small dent on the car, but my bumpers are cracked, paints spider cracked, i got key marks all over the sides and i got one that someone to 4 keys to it at one time, i guess exgirlfriends really do get ****ed off?! im awaiting the day i get a fender bender to get most of it fixed. look on the bright side, new bumper!! lol

I've an appointment next Monday to bring my car into the autobody shop. Getting a Toyota Corolla as a courtesy car to get around in.
Yay! A new bumper! Mine is gouged up pretty bad on the bottom half from parking lot jerks.

Update:
Got a call from CDI this morning and ICBC has found the other driver totally at fault. That means I now don't have to fork out any deductible! Yay!
Now I just have to wait for a call from the autobody for them to fit me in.
