Need opinion on tires...Dunlop vs Yokos

I'm looking at replacing my tires this week. I currently have Dunlop SP Sport A2's on the car, but they're really worn now after about 30,000 miles. I'm thinking about replacing them either with the exact same tire, or with the Yokohama Avid H4. I've noticed quite a few Maximas around with both of these types of tires...does anybody have any feeback on their performance? I was very satisfied with the Dunlops' all weather perfomance and handling, but I'm looking for something that might get a little more tread life...

Thanks.

I should probably mention that I'm putting them on my stock steelies yet again. I was quoted $105 each for the Dunlops and $108 each for the Yokos, of course including mounting, balancing, disposal of the old tires, etc. Any thoughts?

I have the Dunlops as well. Sears matched Tirerack's price. I don't think I'll be going with them again. The wear is not good. Right front tire was down to 4 mm after 10k miles. Rest were at 6-8. And no I don't do one wheel burnouts, just the extra torque to that wheel I guess. I'll be going back to Bridgestones.

had the yokos v4's. not bad tires and wore pretty well, but went with pirelli nero's m&s and they are much better then the 2 you are considering. do yourself and you car a favor and anty up the extra $$$ and go with these. had them in the snow when i went up to VT and they did very well, no issues with them. I have 235/40R18, the only thing i would recommend is going with a 45 or 50 sidewall if you can. You fell alot of bumps with the sidewall size i have. good lucK!

I've also had the a2's and was not impressed. While they were pretty good in the rain at first, they did not wear well. I went through them in about 20k miles. Also, the tread picked up every friggin pebble and rock and flung it at the rocker panel. Took a lot of the paint off.

I have bridgestone potenza re950's now. I am 25k into them and have 7/32 left. Should last for a while. And, they have the uni-t rubber technology so as the tread wears, they're actually getting *better* in the rain. In the rain they stick like a clawed cat to velcro.
