GLE Sway Bar?

GLE Sway Bar?

Ok took the GLE to get serviced about 3 weeks ago..and i swear there was a sway bar stock..but i opened the hood and now itz not there... an di wnet in to ask about it at nissan and there telling me there never was one.. and that the 98 maxima never came with one... r they bull****ting me or what?

i dont think they came stock on any trim...

Maximas never came with swaybars! That's aftermarket.

The Maxima does come with a front sway bar under the car. There is no rear sway bar or front strut tower bar (I'm guessing this is what you're talking about)... You can get the FSTB for cheap on eBay...

I think almost every car made today comes with a front sway bar stock.

It sounds like you are talking about a front strut tower bar (FSTB; under the hood) which is very different from a front sway bar (FSB; on the bottom of the car).

Whether or not your car had an aftermarket FSTB installed, I dunno. Can't imagine Nissan would steal it unless the mechanic is so poor he can't spend $35 himself, or he really liked yours....
