No they don't blink but the corner lamps, as we all know, use the 1157 bulb (double filament). The 10w filament is what stays on when the parking lights are turned on. The 27w filament comes on when you activate the turn signals thus it lights up brighter which is why they also called it clearance light. Neither of the filaments blink, they just stay on steady while activated. I've never modified it, my previous and now my current 95 Maxima operate the same way.

Unixadm,

I believe that's how all Maximas work, although I've never had anything other than the SE models on all of the Maximas I've previously owned (one '90 & two '95). Not sure if other trims work the same way.

[QUOTE=unixadm]I don't see what the difference is. The Diamond corners with the 95-96 Headlights would look awful.

Yeah they look totaly out of place

I don't like how much of the bulb you can see.
They are just too clear, and cheap looking, IMO.

Here are some pics of the euro clear corners that I just installed on my '99 SE. I think they look great and it gives the headlights the appearance of a one-piece (cefiro). As other have pointed out, the bulb socket is visable but I dont mind it all that much. The lights have also been "modified" to power the 2nd filament (brighter) instead. The mod is very easy now with these euro clear corner lights. All you have to do is slide the bottom plate up, rotate 180 degrees and push the plate back down. No need to solder and no ghetto rigging the bulb by clipping the nub. Anyways, I'm off to go stare at them some more. Laters.

That's true............it looks like a one piece and the reflectors match on both. I think the chrome coated bulbs that light up bright white would look nicer in that corner lamp.

Those do look hot, just got mine couple days ago. I'm gonna tint/AE them and get a silver coated bulb for it so it doesn't stand out so much.

Now... only if I could find time to do all of this...

Could you take some pics that are'nt so close. A 3/4 and a full frontal, day and night. I want to see how they blend with the whole car.

I have been thinking of doing that for awhile now...I photoshopped it before and it looks good. Amber would look nice These clear corners look much better than I expected on 97-99 headlights...i like. Im just scared of having condensation problems...

I will see what I can do.

~1.5 months. In the course of doing the 9007 upgrade, I tried to clean off the inside lense with Windex (in order to remove the dust caused by filing down the 2 side nubs) and that ate away at the reflective paint. No matching paint could be found so I ended up getting new headlights. Old headlights will be reused if I decide to do the projector retro fit. As can be seen from the pics, I decided on doing a LED mod to the headlight to give it a little uniqueness.

You need Blue Corral Plastic and plexi cleaner for cleaning the lenses. Window cleaners have amonia that etches plastic....bad for plastic lenses.

No "extra flattering" needed cause what you see is what you get. These corners are very nice and do not look cheap at all.

Ahhh, the cruising (city) light mod. We did that back in the mid-90's when the euro-look was very popular in the cruising scene.

Great pics. Looks really good. I got new headlights also, because old ones were barely transparent. The OEM corners just don't look right next to them. Gotta get a pair of those.

I think the "city light" look is timeless and feel that the US Maxima should have came with them.

Thanks, glad you like them. They do look good especially with brand new headlights. Gives the car a classier look.

i ordered these, and they look great. the only problem is that my headlights are old n dingy, so i gotta pick up some new ones. i've gotten no water condensation at all with these, and the amber bulb just glows really brightly. mind you i did the rewire, but compared to the oem corners, these are blinding.

IMO, if you are sticking to amber (even yellow), I wouldn't do the rewire. Re-wiring is done to make the hyper-white bulbs light up brighter to match it closely with the headlights.

Re-wiring Amber bulbs also kills them in about a month. The color just cracks off from being so hot all the time. I put mine back to regular, and they are fine.

These look awsome...both my sides are broke, so I will also be getting them.
