Re: Installing fender by myself

will I be able to install the fender myself without any body mechanic looking at it or doing it for me. It looks to me it jus screws right on at different places. I just got a new fender off ebay and need to paint it black. As soon as it is painted, I was going to install it myself. Can a semi-mechanic guy get this done or does it need professional bodywork?

Thank you!

yeah you should be able to do it pretty easily. I took my fender off and within an hour i had the new one on, it was my first time taking it off and putting one on. I also think i took to many bolts off which took more time.

It is bad to get an aftermarket fender?

I've heard that some of them don't fit really good. I bought one off ebay for like 85 shipped. Not sure if it was a smart move...

BTW: Is 350$ a good price to get the whole front end nose repainted and replacing the fender with my part a good price?

The nose contains (the hood, bumper and both of the fenders)
They will paint everything and install the fender on for me also for 350$ + tax. Is that a good price?

THanx!

It'll give you more room to remove the splash guard but you don't really have to.
