Also to add, how do you tell how much you've torqued a bolt down by?

I always heard torque this bolt down to say 75 lbs-ft. but do you need a special tool that tells how much or do you have to guess how much by how it feels? Always wanted to know but never started a new thread to ask.

You need a torch wrench. you set how much you want to torch it to and when you are tighten it up, it will click when you go over the torque setting.

Just so everyone knows, 25 - 30 lb-ft is just "kinda tight if you lean on it" with a regular ratchet. Dont sweat the torque spec on these nuts too much.

Nick,

Just put the right size socket on the end of the wrench and as you turn the nut, the red needle will move to the right. Stop turning once the needle reaches 30.

30 ft/lbs, but since your torque wrench is in in/lbs, 360 in/lbs
