i want to fix a dent on my car

hey guys sorry to bother, but on my door it seems that the owner before me some how managed to get it to pop inwards like a shopping kart hit it very hard. wat i was wondering was if i take my inner door panel off can i be able to tap that dent back out at all? if so how would i go about getting the door ( rear drivers side) panel off.
thanks,
will

if you can't get the door panel off...take the car to a body shop!...best thing for you!

The metal is streched, so popping it out might not work.

See if paintless dentremoval can do something.

If there is any creases, take it to a body shop. If not, it shouldn't be too hard to get the door panel off, and I would also suggest removing the window and setting it somewhere safe. You never know what could happen. Keep us posted on this.

I've heard of people popping dents with toilet plungers (might want to get a new one for this purpose ). Might work if the metal's not stretched or anything. Also, I would think the rear door panels would come off much like the fronts which I believe you can find instructions for in the audio forum faqs.

I don't mind and I'm sure most don't mind replying to your threads...but I wasn't sure your level of experience. Well, put it like this...if the dent is bad then you'll likely need a new door for a seamless fix.

I tried the toilet plunger on a little dent from a shopping cart, it did not work.

I've heard that if u put dry ice on it the metal will contract to its original form. I've never tried it though.

btw, a friend of mine tried the Ding King and it worked for him.....probably depends upon the dent.

I think they may need to be big dents, the kind that just need a little help to just pop right out. I've never actually seen it done, just heard about it so I don't know what situations it works it. It seems like those little dents tend to deform the metal though, so it would make sense that it wouldn't work in that case.

Got to eastwoodco.com, they've got a kit to pull small dents. Kinda expensive, but cheaper than taking it to a dent removal place, esp if you've got a lot of them. Only for small dents, though...

ok so i went out and found my haynes manual. and it told me how to take the inner panel off. so i got a big hammer and begand to gently tap at the center of the large dent and it just poped out. but it left beind two other dents that where seperated by that door strip. so i tried for 30 mins and i couldnt get the other two small dents out since they were outside of the area that i can reach from the inside of the door. i'm pleased with the results so far seeing how it cost me nothin to fix it. now im gonna look into the plunger and dry ice tricks.
thanks for the help guys,
will

man, it would have been nice if you would have taken a before and after pic of the dent repair. I'm terrified of trying this and making it worse than before.

GOOD WORK!
