let me know what you find out on the AC...im hoping its LED's..unsoldering them and replacing them is no biggie...Im buying 100 3mm blue leds for like $5 on ebay. I have the less fancy AC...err...whatever it's called, the non automatic one. As for the ignition ring, its a bulb so you'll need resistors if you want to use an LED in there. I personally just used a blue marker and colored the bulb. Works for me If you look at the ignition theres a plastic piece that goes around the key hole...like, the whole plastic piece thats the indentation on the steering column....you'll know what i mean when you look at the steering column from the bottom (theres a crack, pry that piece off..just be careful, it just snaps on/off) Then the clear ring will pull off of the ignition and you can take the bulb out and color it or whatever. I'm going to pull my AC tomarrow and see if its LEDs and go looking for cellophane paper to do my clock as well.

The A/C is bulbs? Bleh..I dont want to play with resistors really..i just changed my clock to white too...think i lost a piece though, the piece that contacts the buttons so you can change the time...dunno what im going to do. And yeah I just used a sharper blue marker on the ignition for the guy that asked me that, looks good...doesnt quite shine all the way around the ring, but i'll play with it more. Just take off the green condom and color away.

I'm in the process of changing all my window leds to white. I'm also changing the gauge needles to green. I wanted all the lights on the dash and the rest of the car to match, and since I didn't want to touch the Bose system, I thought having a different color than green or white would clash. What can I say, I'm a chick, I worry about stuff like that.

It depends on what type of car setup your aiming for really. The Green is a standard for luxury. I think it's nice, but not everywhere. For instance, my car I'm keeping/aiming for the luxurious look. My Headunit is blue, but my TV screen while playing MP3's is the same exact green as the clock and Climate Control. With that being said, I'm going to make the Window switches to White cuz the green in them is ugly and can't see it. White IMO is real clean. Then I'm going to get a Gentex Rearview Mirror with Green LED to match the Clock and Climate control and Flush TV Screen. I'm keeping my gauges white, but switching stock bulbs to a nice Bright White LED and the same goes for the shifter light. As for the Keyring, I'm going to make it white or blue to accent the Headunit, but still undecided on that. I think the Green down the whole middle of the car and bright white everywhere else is not only classy, but you dont see it often.

As for Red, I like it alot, but its a sporty look. Not ricey however, just sporty. Blue well, yes and no is ricey. Granted, you see all Hondas and Smaller Nissans and Integras with Blue Lighting, but so do certain Benz's have Blue interiors and gauges. So how can you consider a Benz ricey? LoL and as for all white I think that's the best way to go for a classy, clean and crisp look. I was gonna do all white, but it would be stupid to do all white and then have a Green LED Gentex Rearview Mirror (Unless I find out I can change them or get a Blue one to accent the Headunit, then maybe I'll change my plans) Hope this helped on your views.

PS: To the girl who is gonna paint her gauge needles green. What marker/paint exactly are you gonna use to paint them that would actually match that Mint green color the clock and Climate Control is?

Max Mutes- I was actually going to attempt to change the led's for the needles. Instead of having the paint fade. I know that this proceedure is very tricky... but I'm willing to test my skills.

Depending on what your gagues look like, the blue window switches look really sharp.

i soldered in one led as just a test...used blue...it looked okay...still want to go with white. But the led doesn't dim? What's up with that? Also, in the right side of my max, both rear windows go down with the switch...in the left side, it works fine....in the left side of my friends max, it shorts out and some of the lights in the doors dim (other doors)....in his right side it works fine...im neither car it dims, though...which is the major issue..they are like blindingly bright. Just wanted to see what was up. And yes, i like the suggestion of green down the middle and white on the outsides. I think Ill keep the guages white, change window leds, change key ring to blue to accent head unit, and leave clock and ac for now...lol, that also conveniately requires the least amount of work....we'll see how she looks, maybe my next head unit will be one with a green display, or buttons, was wanting an Alpine anyway.
