Tonight I accelarated to redline in 3rd and my turn came up and I had to slow down pretty fast. I got new tires at the begining of June and the place scraped up my wheels so bad, I was so mad, my parents didn't even care. Anyways, I think they didn't alighn(sp)? properly or didn't balance the wheels. I can only feel the front wheels wobble, and I felt like I was about to lose control of the car. I told my dad that i was going 60 and I broke hard, but I couldn't tell my dad I was going 100 because he would be p¡ssed. I don't want to carry it over to NTB again because I am afraid they will mess something else up. My dad told me to carry it to Nissan, but I'm not sure how much they charge. The front drivers side wheel wobbles when I go around turns sometimes too. If someone could tell me what's wrong that would be awsome. They CV joints where replaced 6 months ago so it's not that. Thanks in advance.

Could be a like 10 diff things, probly bad pads/rotors.

My dad said it could be the ABS, my breaks squeel sometimes. What could be wrong with the rotors? Warped? How would that have happened? Thanks for the reply.

you would probably only notice a slight warp under hard braking, but they wouldn't do it while corning (w/out braking that is. unless the pads are rubbing, but I would doubt that.) It could be both a combination of unbalanced tires, not aligned, both of those (possibly accompanied by warped rotors.)

I took the car over there to get them check everything out. They said there was a loose bearing, and they tightened that up. The pads are at 50%. They also said the rotors were slightly warped, but nothing that is mechanically harmfull. He said that turning them would give them the ability to warp easier. How does a rotor warp?

 

heating up metal always tends it to misform, in this case hard braking causes excessive heat to the rotors making them untrue do to pressure and heat being applied.

Rotors warp from rapid temperature changes - like stopping from 100 to zero a few times and then driving through a puddle... this cools some part of the rotor more quickly than others causing the warping.

It is actually a misnomer to call it "warping". The real problem that causes vibrations of the car/brake pedal during braking is thickness variation.. where different parts of the rotor are of different thickness - from the metal alloy being used to make the rotor not being 100% homegenous - thus you get a rotor that is a little different in some spots (hard spots)... these hard spots wear less quickly, and eventually "stick out" from the rest of the rotor. Now when you press the brakes, and hit one of these spots, the caliper is forced out (piston pushed back in) so that the pads can clear the hard spot - this is the vibration you feel.
