Trying to have mechanic install MEVI

I have all the pieces for my VI
Vaccum hoses
vaccum canister with built in check valve
30 amp relay switch
summit RPM switch(with configure instructions)
and GM solenoid

the question i have that my mechanic had was, is there a plug that connects to the solenoid since there is no part in my jap car that is GM.

the mechanic and nothing but nissans only had a few minutes to look at this, he has never actually installed a MEVI but he is very familiar with the car and thinks he is very capable of doing it

my question is, should i let him do it? haha. And also whats up with the plug, is there a place to get it, can my mechanic get it easily from a junkyard??? please help me guys.

Also if anyone reads this that is in the area, and would be willing to help me install it instead please let me know i got the loot i just want a perfect job done. I live in New York, Orange county. i know delio was going to help me but i havent seen him around since he had gotten married

yes there is a plug the plugs in it but i heard it like 20 bucks. i saw the part number in the mevi facts.i didnt waste my money for it and just made up my own little plugs for it.lol if you mechanic thinks he could do it i would say not a very good mechanic.all he is doing is swapping an intake for intake. i did it myself and im not a mechanic.oh one thing you dont need the 30 amp relay if you are using a the GM solenoid

Do it yourself and take your time. I'm going to put mine back on soon. It's really not that hard.

So basically all that i need now is the plug part for the GM solenoid and i wont even have to use the 30 amp relay switch??

and then the mechanic should be able to work this pretty easy for me and have it all working right and efficent

you dont need a relay with any solenoid really. people using relays are usually the ones having electrical problems with their mevis. a relay adds unneccessary complication to the wiring, and the solenoids dont draw enough current to fry an rpm switch.

you can use any solenoid with 3 nipples and 2 wires... you can find about 4 of them on almost every car made since like 1980. nissan, mazda, gm, honda, etc etc etc they all have them. if you have access to a junkyard where you can pull parts yourself, i suggest you go out there and start looking under hoods. i found mine in a junkyard on a mazda MX3, reason I chose the MX3 is because of all the cars i found them on, MX3 seemed to be the easiest to get off. took me about 5 minutes.

yes there is a connector for it but its like 22 bucks. i just went to the where the connectors are in the auto parts store and found some connectors that puck in to the solenoid. and you just crimp the wire in the connectors
