I tried following the directions on Maximadriver.com on how to secure the aftermarket clear lenses from behind the fender lining, but I am still having trouble. Anyone have any tips?

Oops, sorry, I meant clear bumper lights, not corner...

you mean the clear bumper lenses. what i did was took the side that "popped" into the fender and unscrew the thingy that popped in the fender. then i put the clear len on my car and from underneath my car i screwed in a screw to hold it in place

What kind of screw did you use? You didn't re-use the ball-screw thing you removed from the lens? Did you just go to the hardware store and buy another type of screw? How about a washer?

I used silicone seal on mine. It forms a great hold but also all you have to do is use a screw driver and it peals right off. In other words it holds good but you do not have to lay on the ground and unscrew the lens just to change the light. tried to explane the best i could.

get a socket wrench.. you see that little metal piece that fits in the other side of the lens. screw that out.. then mount it from behind the other side of the bumper and screw it back in..

look at the Clear Cornes installation on maxima.org it has pictures

i just used a screw i found in my garage. make sure they're not too long though you wouldn't want to overscrew them in. the way i did it its almost impossible to take them out unless u get on the ground and unscrew the screw.

The reason it won't stay on good when you try to pop it back in is because it's not long enough. What I did was unscrew the ball-socket thing out slightly so it will reach into the part on the car with there aftermarket sockets. Just popped it in, and its stayed on for last month and still no problems.

I have heard here that someone took the screw off the orange lights and swapped it for the one on the clears. That makes sense to me.

Also, if you need more info on how to secure them from behind, look at this site:

Check out the next to last two pics.
