Max Owner Againg??
Max Owner Againg??
I used to have a 96 5spd and it got crashed. My insurance just totalled it out so i was without a car for a while. Then i seen a 95spd for sale. he wants $3,300. it has about 133k. Also he said his dad owned it and it also got crashed but he had it totalled out too, but he told me that it was only the bumper and a fender that got smashed and the airbags came out, and that was the reason it got totalled out. I was concerned that it might have more damage done to it. Is that a good price for that car? Would that damage be possible of having the ins. company totalled it out(cost wise). Should i get it or not??

Well I paid $4500 for my 95 5-Speed that is fully loaded including heated seats, but without the automatic. It had 121k miles when I got it with the maintenance history and a clean title. It's in very good condition for a 95.
I'd say keep looking and find a car with a clean title that does not need to be repaired. Also a salvage/rebuilt title drastically reduces the value of the vehicle.

Heard the same about the R title cars has lower book value. hey just look around for something better with low miles and clear history. Don't jump into it millions and millions of cars bound to found a right maxima sometime in you price bedget. Good Luck.
I got my 95 SE for $13,000 a couple of years ago. It only had 35K miles and its in excellent condition. Now its got about 67K and the blue book is about $6500. So $3300 for one with 133k and the vehicle history, not too bad at all. A lot of times if you call the Nissan dealer with the VIN number, they'll tell you the cars history for no charge.

I got my '95 Max GLE with black leather and BOSE for $3700. It had 140k miles and a perfectly clean record. That's a steal! But to answer your question I would take it to a mechanic and have him do a thorough inspection of it. Ask him to look for signs of the frame or any major parts that might have been repaired or altered. If he says it's all good I'd go with it but if anything is abnormal, RUN! Also, if you are looking for a good reliable car, ask the owner for service records. Having a clean title on a car is nothing without the car being serviced properly and regularly.
i got my 95 5speed two monthes ago. got 124k on it and paid 3600. this guy had the car routinely maintained and engine is in perfect condition. i was told it wasn't wrecked at all. the car is smooth and powerful. do i have a better deal?
