What does a FSTB do ??
It does a lot of stuff. The installation isn't too hard, anyone with proper tools can do it.
Umm, basically it does a couple things. First of all, it looks good in the engine bay. Second, it helps to make the chassis more rigid. Finally, most importantly it helps the car track. Under high speed turning the front strut towers tend to flex in towards each other. This has a negative effect on your steering and tracking. The strut bar keeps the car's suspension geometery as normal as it can under high stress situations.
In a nutshell, you'll only feel the difference at the limit. Also, it effects the ride quality negatively. Since you're preveting inward and outward flex, under some sorts of conditions it makes the ride rougher.

Installation
Installing the FSTB is pretty easy. You need a torque wrench and I believe a 14 mm socket for your 96. It takes 10-15 minutes tops. I just put one on and it's incredible the difference it makes. Since you can get one for under $50 shipped and the easy installation I'd say it's a must even if you're not considering mods otherwise.

Not a bad deal if it is as good as everyone says it is.
