Nokyas require upgraded wiring from what I heard. Friends in DNE have had headlight harnesses burned from Nokya.

I have CoolBlues in my car. My cousin had Silverstars in his Tahoe and they looked nice...lasted longer than a couple of months.

(Just be sure to not touch the bulb when installing and they last a lot longer...)

The brightest stock bulb is a Phillips Vision Plus. Cant get them in the states as far as I know, same with the real Silverstars...not the junk we have, trust me. So the next best thing is Sylvania Xtravision. I have them in 9007 and they are way brighter than the stock bulbs. Silverstars suck bumm. They have a coating that changes the color more white, which robs light output. All colored bulbs bite. You dont wanna mod anything so good luck with your (crappy) 9004 choice.

seems the life of the bulb depends on how it was handled, one lasted 50 miles, another 1 week, but then on my altima its been goin strong for 8 months no prob. my friend bought 97-99 clear lens headlights for his 95 and the silverstars looked pretty darn good

I have silverstars and they are good. I've also had them for longer than a few months, prob over a year now. I used to do Nokyas but they kept on burning out my harnesses. After 3 harness replacements (before I learned about the upgrade), I decided to stick to the factory wattage specs. Any wattage higher than the factory specs will burn the harness.
Silverstars are not bad at all. I recommend them.

I have been running Silverstars for 6mo & 9,000 miles and they are fine (use them night and day). Wear clean gloves when you handle them like the instructions say and they are OK. Do not touch them with bare skin.
