Whats a good set of fog lights?

My friend with a '96 is looking to install some fog lights in the space where they should be. She's got a GXE which came without them.

Anybody have a cheap recomendation that fits relatively well and dont need too much hardware to install?

Also wondering if anyone has put in SE fog lamps in the GXE.

Man if this was a 3rd gen question I wouldnt have to ask it ....
Sorry I'm not a 4th gen guy.

I think some people put the SE fog lamps into the GXE. You will have to modify the bumper though.

Also, they are not cheap. Over $100 from the factory. That sucks.

Which type of fog light is the brightest? H3, H4, etc. I have an aftermarket foglight and I'm thinking of getting the strongest light output other than HID.
Anyone know any type or recommendation?

the cheapest ive seen an OEM kit is like 150, and you must cutout the bumper... its ovbious where if you are looking at them... you can probably get a cheaper aftermarket set, but wouldnt look as good

There are some aftermarket kits that look pretty good.
I don't know where he got it, but "ImStockBaby" has some round aftermarket ones that fill up the stock holes. They look pretty good with his.

**BTW, he is Crimson Blaze Red like me....look him up to find out.

I dunno, but whatever you decide to get, it'd probably be a good idea to make sure they are 'DOT approved'.

I'm not sure about NY, but when I went to get my inspection here in VA and they slapped me with that DOT BS and proudly gave me a rejection. I just took them off at home brought it back the next day got my sticker and put them right back on! F***ers!

I mean, they are fog lights! They are basically pointed at the ground! Jesus!

Ok, I'm done ranting I'll leave now!
