is there a delay from when you press the horn till it actually honking? i think i read that w/o a tank, there will be a delay if theres a leak somewhere. i'm not sure tho, i've never heard of needing a tank neither.

yep, slight delay which is from the time it takes the compressor motor to start pumping enough air into the horns, dont think you can avoid the slight delay

i got mine from Auto Zone, and the delay i have is about the same as what you would get from a regular relay. as far as a tank goes, the small ones dont need one b/c the compressor is quick enough to give the horns just enough air to get loud.

check out www.hornblasters.com. i would definately suggest either a compressor/tank set-up or just use a small bottle like a nos and refill it at your local welding supply.

Now theres a horn! but where in the heck are you going to mount 4 giant horns? not to mention that the smallest is 13" long and the longest 19.5". I had a hard time finding room for my 3 tiny horns

tell you the truth, i didn't look that carefully at the products. but they have a reputation for having the goods among the sport truck community. btw, check out the videos.

I helped a friend with an Altima install air horns in his car. The delay was almost a full second and it didn't sound any more attractive or louder than my stock horns. If I was going to change my horn I'd put in something sweet like from an old Caddy or Lincoln or something like that. Anyway I'm not a fan the air horns on passenger cars.

Here's what you should do:

^^ did you use the relay to the battery or were you just using the power from the stock horn harness? the compressor probably wasnt getting enough power.
