takes tooo long for pull!!!!!!!!!
When I try to speed up on the highway to pass someone, or just slam on the gas from a stop, it takes a while (2-4) secs. for the pull to actually kick in. The engine will make the loud revving noise but won't actully pull for a few seconds!!! Is this normal????

yes because you have an autotragik transmission. the vb mod will help you...some.
try 2 HARD taps on the gas peddle. it usually get my tranny to drop a gear and then i hold it floored from then on.
also try brake standing to 3-4 grand....thats how you get moving from a stop...
the vb mod is the best mod i'v ever done.

lag on acceleration, hmmm...i would say that you should spend a good day and clean out the TB (with the car on, spray in the cleaner), ground the maf, new spark plugs?, clogged air/fuel filters?, knock sensor is bad?, throttle cable is loose?, using 91 or above octane?, exhaust leak?.
try chevron techron concentrate for the gas tank.
try to check for codes, also try to turn off over-drive to get the car to downshift when you want it to on the highway...thats what its for. hopefully your tranny is not ready to blow and you're experiencing Sx's of tranny slippage.
