does anyone know where the PCV vavle is and how to change itin a '99 maxima. Also where would be the best place to get one.

 

I think they can only be had from the dealer (I'm not positive though), they aren't expensive even so. There is a picture of it's location in the faqs.

 

Autozone at $2 a piece.

 

pcv valves aren't very expensive at all... getting to it is okay (easier than the fuel filter)... you can do it in 30 mins or less.

look in the faq, i'm sure someone has a picture of the location somewhere.

 

It's behind the throttle body, on the rear valve cover. I didn't even replace mines, I just sprayed it inside and out with brake parts cleaner. Works just fine. As long as the valve inside can open and close without anything (sludge build up) blocking it, it'll work just fine.
