Need some parts...

Anyone know where I can find an EVAP canister for a '98 SE?
I swear I saw these available on autopartsauthority.com a month or so back, I even remember writing down a part # for it, but now I can't find one anywhere...

I also wanna check the price for front driver/passenger axle assemblies... Browns Nissan in Sterling ,VA just quoted me $578 EACH!!!
Funny that both mechanics I've been to have quoted the entire replacement (inc. parts) at about $500-$550... ******.

So anyone got the hook-up? Where should I start looking?

Nice one Fellas

1) Not sure you can find non-Nissan Evap. Cansiters
2) Axles can be bought from raxles.com

The Muppet from Browns just emailed me again, since I hadn't replied to his original email, he's dropped the price to $500 each for the axles. Maybe the silent treatment works after all...

EVAP canisters are best bought from places like pinnacle nissan or jerry rome nissan.

No clue on the axles, but I heard of a place called raxles (or something like that) that people have used.

How is life in old town?

You can get axles at raxles (probably the best thing) they'll cost $150ea and they use a brand new joint. Autozone or any autoparts store will be more like $70 and they basically just replace the boot (they do have a lifetime warranty though so it will just be labor if does go bad...nothing if you do it yourself). These prices will be after you bring back your core. If you tell raxles you're from the org you won't have to pay the core charge (they will charge your card if you don't return it though)...not that good an incentive, but it's something.

That is me- white I30 w/ cleared tails, BBS rims (15") and just the Infiniti symbol- no "INFINITI" lettering or "I30t" badge.

I live RIGHT ON 50 in Falls Church on the Merrifield line, and I have been coming in on 50. I might try 495 for a week next week, but I am worried about the Wilson backup. I took 495 home last night and was home in 20 minutes, versus about an hour to my old place.

I hate 66. They shoudl level it and start over.

I live 2 lights from 495, so once I am on there, I ma fine- if it is not backed up tto far at the Wilson Bridge.

Celebration went fine. Really low-key, but nice.
