Bad noise when making a turn

I noticed for the last 2 wks when turning to the right I hear a thumping noise. I am worry what it be. I would like to do the work myself but wonder if I should leave this problem to a mechanic? Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this issue and find out what is wrong?

Is it clicking as well. Could be your CV boots. Check to see if it is torn. Also look over your tires to make sure something isn't stuck in them.

yeah, probably your CV joints. If the Boot is torn, it might be the cause.

Cool screen name, BTW. Aslan the Lion?

I think it is your front wheel bearings. I replaced my drivers front at 150k and now my pass front is thumping when I turn left. Now I have 216k.

Hey, iis it bad if you dont' replace the bearing? cuz i just baught my car like 3 days ago, and for the first time yesterday i heard some sort of knocking coming from the floor of the passenger side when turning left. Im assuming its the wheel bearing. Anywayz, was wondering how much it would cost to do such a replacement? also if it was necessary to do?

Thanks in advnace...

Another thing you might consider (if youve had after market CUSTOM-MADE Cat-back installed on ur car) like i did is this: my sht was thumping and making jacked up noises for like 2 weeks, turns out my custom B-pipe was knocking on my rear axle brace when i had more than 2 people in my ride....... took me forever to figure that sht out. took it to the muffler shop after that and they kindly fixed it by raising it up with another mount.

*just a thought if you have that situation ever*

The CV boots arent too expensive to replace your self. I think most places end up replacing the whole axle for 200.

The parts I think are:

65 for axle
30 for boot kit.
