HELP: E-brake is extremely loose after rear pad replacement
Hi All, after replacing my left rear brake pads, my e-brake is now extremely loose. I thought the e-brake was self adjusting? I must have put it up and down about 50-100 times with it parked and driving, and it doesnt do much. Does anyone know how to adjust the cable????
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

just double check everything. check the spring, cables, nut, etc is correctly installed.... and check if you have a good amt level for brake fluid... other than that bro, if you did installed everything correctly ususally it is just the pumping of the ebrakes and the brake fluid =/

You can also just use a needle-nose plier to retract the piston - a little trickier, but thats what I've always done. If the piston is really really hard to turn/retract, its probably a good time to rebuild/replace that caliper.
I am not sure why you removed any particular bolt on the caliper to disengage the parking brake cable... you should just be able to pull the cable of the hook it is clipped onto. If I am thinking of the same bolt you undid, I think you might have screwed up the entire caliper/parking brake mechanism on that side... did you remove the bolt on which the parking brake cable spring is sitting on? if you did, I'm sure you messed up the caliper (in terms of the parking brake adjustments). I don't know if that can be "readjusted"... I assume it can, but don't know how that whole mechanism works.
