Exhaust Header Wrap

Is it worth it?

Thermo-Tec claim to reduce under-hood temps by 70%

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...51&prmenbr=361

Has anyone tried this? Was it hard to get to the headers? Was it worth the effort?

Any opinions or info would be gratefully received

If you have aftermarket headers then wrap them before you put them on, if you have stock headers then it already has a heat shield, I suppose you could wrap that but it wouldnt make much difference and would be very hard to do. My y-pipe is wrapped, I guess that helps a bit, our stock headers are small and very hard to get to. As far as the 70% claim, There's no way... Not in our car

It's really pointless if you're N/A or not turbo'd. Heat is a turbo's enemy...therefore wrapping the reverse Y, and exhaust manifolds are helpfull in heat reduction.
