today i was driving down the road doing maybe 40 in 5th gear when my check engine light came on and the car just died while rolling that is all that happened with no other problems it started back up and i drove it home but the check engine light is still on anyone know what i could be

 

Check for codes...mine is on too. Mine seems to come on and off with the temperature of the car? So maybe I have an exhaust leak or something. It was throwing knock sensor/evap control system, and whatever 4/3 3/4 is, lost my ecu decoder :P

 

My 93 Maxima SE and my ex's 93 and 95 Altimas had the same problem... turned out to be the alternator. You'll kno for sure cuz the ebrake light and battery light comes on before everything shuts down.
