Muffled Noise

When I start my a car, a very loud but dead muffled noise comes from the driver side and when I drive you can hear it as I rev the engine and go, etc. I had a friend look at it and he thinks its the Flex Pipe. Anybody have the same problem, issue or have any ideas/suggestions on what they might think it is? Also, how much is a flex pipe and installation, etc? Thanks alot.

you can try to use exhaust wrap and wrap your flex section. i use DEI exhaust wrap to reduce the heat of my y-pipe and decrease "bees-in-the-can" noise. DEI makes A+ quality exhaust wrap, which should be availible around ur local autoshop. check out their web site for detail info >> http://www.designengineering.com/
