water in car

I was at one of those touchless car washes and had the A/C blowing on high. When they sprayed the car with water I noticed water coming into the car from underneath the Glove box. There is a black housing about a foot long by 8" wide.
Water was coming in from one of the screws holding this in place.
Any idea what this hides (fan, blower motor?)
This has never happened before, and I gone to these types of washes many times.
Should I take it apart and dry it?, and help or input muchly appreciated.
Thank You
