installing new harness for headlight. ?'s about colors, red/black yellow/green???

I just bought some nokya bulbs and the heavier duty harness. The harness is red/black and red with black tracer. The wires in my gle are yellow/green and green with yellow tracer. Which is which?

Also, do I just splice the stock wire, connect the harness wire, and wrap it up in electrical tape? or do I take apart the stock socket, use that as a connect for the wires from the harness and use the socket from the harness? So confused. Please help, already got a warning today. Had to get the pig to see the bulbs I bought (had them in the backseat just in case.

take note of the stock harness wiring locations, and wire up the new one exactly the same. Cut off the old harness, solder on the new, and wrap (shrink wrap is wonderful, but e-tape works too).
While you're there, why don't you make a custom headlight harness? Just takes a few relays and wires (speaker wires, if you're desparate)

Not much of an electricity person; so the idea of a 'custom' harness is out.

I'm still confused to as which wires to connect to each other. My stock harness has three wires: red, black, and red and black. The heavy duty Nokya harness has green, yellow, and green and yellow. Which are positive, negative, ground, etc? Also do I have to splice the stock wire at a certain location, or I can just use more slack and start at the middle?
