Remote alarm problem.

Remote alarm problem.
Own a '95 SE with Nissan OEM remote alarm system. Remote alarm works sporadically. Have replaced battery with no apparent improvement. Any ideas about problem and /or where to get replacement. Will I need to re-program it?
