u a stick? need to plant the power down to the ground also. a racing clutch and a lighter flywheel would help plant the power. never heard of the dr mod. lighter rims will increase times but not that much and suspension get that for the twisties.lol. thats what i would do cause u dont drive in a straight line. ohh and brakes so u can stop the beast.lol

the "dr mod" is the drop resistor mod for sutomatic trannys, it helps a ton in fast fast fast shifts also if your lucky youll sqweel into 2nd gear like the 5 speed boys. basically it just splices wires into your trannys line pressure solinoid and when a switch is activated it cancels the signal to the tranny which automatically makes it have full line pressure on shifts. of course if you use this while not at wide open throttle youll deff f*ck som **** up. i have this mod done and LOVE IT!!! its awsome the way it shifts while on it just throws u back like your stick or somthing and suprises the h*ll out of all my passengers and makes them hit there heads on the seat LOL if yer automatic and want more info im me on aim im on alot otherwise talk to one of the many fellow maxima owners that has done this.

He means the Drop Resistor mod... it makes the auto tranny shift at full pressure making it shift VERY hard. Improves 1/4 times and saves the clutches inside the transmission but its pretty hard on the drivetrain

just get the VBmod, you should be easily hitting 13's with a shot of nitrous... I hit 13.7 with a 50shot awhile back.... Only mods:
VBmod
UDP
Y-pipes
CAI
2.5 exhaust piping
15inch rims
I'm going 5spd thou, I want to be able to hit 14.3 consitent all motor. then go boosted... Good luck thou

the valve body mod is also pretty much the same thing as the drop resistor but safer cause it actually does somthing physically to yer tranny aka new valvebody. only downside to that is the cost i believe its like $400+ vs $8 for the wire and switch from wal-mart for the DR

Sounds like a neat mod, is it bad on your tranny? How hard is it to set up something like this. Does anyone have a link to a page or something that explains how to do something like this? thanks

Almost 99%, if not all the people running the drop resistor use a toggle switch for W.O.T. I'm not really familiar, and I don't need to be since I'm running a manual tranny, but basically using a toggle switch recognizes the difference btwn. W.O.T. and anything less than that, and will "shut off" the hard shifts if it detects any kind of throttle pressure besides W.O.T., so it will only be used when racing/d!cking around.

I've got a DR on my auto max and can chirp 1-2 at WOT. Its an easy mod but a tranny cooler is recommended to keep the tranny from melting. If your pushing alot of power through your tranny it will make your shifts much faster and maybe shave a tenth, but it wont shave much off a stock setup.
