knock sensor wiring???help!

knock sensor wiring???help!

ok i think i might of pulled one of the wires out of the harness...can anyone help me out and let me know is there supposed to be 2 wires going into the redish harness that connects to the knock sensor? or 1? cause i only have 1 that i see and its brownish color so idk if i pulled it out somhow or if theres only supposed to be one but either way i only have one. also if i did pull it out is there a way i can get it back in, like soldering it or somthing idk

Don't worry there's only 1, I thought I did the same thing when I changed my KS, freaked me out

lol when i took my harness out of the car it looked like it was tampered with cuz one wire was just wrapped around the other, but in fact the base of the sensor is a ground and the other is the signal i dont really know why they did it this was

phew i am in the process now and i thought somehow my ground was pulled out of the harness...weird that at the top of the wiring where it continues to another harness, it has the ground there...it's almost like it's in the tubing but not connected. weird but relieved to read i'm not the only one.

yeah, that scared the crap outta me too when i changed my KS. i thought i accidently pulled a wire off because it was a bish to get off. but, i connected it anyways and it worked. how come there is only one wire going to the KS, but 2 coming off the sub harness?
