Newbie here...

I just bought a 99 Maxima SE today
91,000 miles
MINT
$8900
Is that a mediocre price?

1.What are some of the problem areas I may need to pay close attention to? (I have never owned a Maxima)
2.What type/grade oil do you guys use?
3. How well do the trannies hold up?
4.Any major service intervals?
5. How well do these cars hold up, in general?
6. What do these run in the 1/8 mile?

Thanks!

Auto or manual?

With a 99, expect bad coil packs

Welcome to the .org dude.. The maxima is the best car out there, you will have a lot of fun with it..

Just turn up the music, and drive for a few days.. Then worry about the other stuff.

read throught the stickies at the top, they are full of useful information and will answer most of your questions. knock sensors go out on the 99s about 70-80k

i think the price is a bit high for that mileage, but if the car is really mint then its prolly a good investment

At the flywheel is 190hp, 205tq. At the wheels is probably around 160-170, I'm really not sure of the exact numbers.
