brake noise, help!
hey, my max i bought recently has stillen brakes and drilled rotors on it (so i was told), anyway, brakes make a loud scrapping sound when ever i lightly let go of it to inch car forward or whenever car slows down to a stop. anyway, is it because of the brake pads being worn out? if so, what kind of brake pads do i need that i can get from an auto store. the guy told me stock pads would go out fast on these. pls help
thanks

How much do you kno about brakes? If very lil, then take your car to a shop to have your brakes inspected for free.
If you're handy w/tools, take the pads out, resurface your rotors, lube your caliper pins, put the pads back in with anti-squeel. Hopefully that will help. Also, check your parking brake line, see if they're dragging. There's a tech service bulletin for this and the fix is a new line and something else, I forget...
Good luck dood. Oh yeah, I think stillen says to expect some squeel... those are performance pads, which tend to make noise.
