HELP! Need specs for re-aligning my car after 1.5 inch drop

well i lowered my car yesterday and went to take my car to tires plus today to have my car re-aligned and the guy there told me he cant re-align my car with out the new specs because if he put it back to factory spec it would be wrong. he said if i brought him the specs he could do it for me tho. does anyone by any chance know what these specs would be or wut i should do. i dont wana have to turn my wheel a quarter turn just to go strieght for the rest of the time i own my car.

Just lowering the car caused the steering to track?

Adjusting the toe-in and everything (basic alignment), should just be $60 or so. I paid $100 in my civic that was slammed to the ground just because it was lowered and they knew they could fck me over.

I would tell you to go to a better alignment shop. A good alignment shop/mechanic will actually look up the stock specs and adjust them to be close to the stock specs. Usually they won't be able to get them back exactly to stock but they will be close.

I've used both Firestone and JustTires. Heard some Discount Tire's do a good job too. I'm using a local Firestone from now on. Latest optical alignment equipment plus the service manager's an I30 owner

did they align your car after you lowered it?

Yes. Stock height, lowered 3", stock alighment, race alignment, me in car, etc. Lowered cars are gonna have the same toe and caster as stock. Only the camber might be a bit more negative which is ok for street driving.

You should get your alignment elsewhere. You don't need any other specs than stock. Without camber bolts they may not be able to get it exactly back into specs, but close enough to get the car to go down the road straight and not cause any abnormal tire wear. My car has been technically out of spec for a few years with no problems. A good alignment guy will know how to get the job done without any additional parts or info.

firestone

I remember hearing that Firestone used to have a lifetime alignment deal where you pay about $150 and they'll align your car whenever you bring it in. Anyone know if they still offer this deal?

they still do it. i told my buddy about it last week and he took his 99 ford ranger 4x4, that we had just lifted 4 inches with 33's and it cost him 189 for the lifetime deal.

You can't beat it

I just put new tires on so I went to firestone today and got the lifetime deal. It came up to about $150. The technitian told me that my camber was way off. Driving home I deffinitely noticed an improvement and no pulling to the right The last set of tires I took off had uneven wear. You can't beat this deal, expecialy of you've do some suspension work to your car.

From everything I have heard, you should not need camber bolts with only a 1.5" drop.
Right?

Did you ever get it all figured out?
