Low Power Under 3000 RPM
Low Power Under 3000 RPM
I have a 96 GXE Maxima with an auto tranny. I recently had to have the relay for the fuel pump replaced because it went bad. Before I could got the car fixed, it sat for about a two months. After fixing it, it does not seem to run as smooth and have as much power under 3000 RPM as is did before the fuel pump relay went out. Once it hits 3000 RPM, it seems to have a lot more power. Could this be caused by fuel gumming up in the injectors while it sat for two months? Should I run some fuel injector cleaner though it? Thanks.

I changed my KS and still notice a big gain in power right at 3500 rpm. I don't know if it is normal or not but under 3500 rpm the car drives ok, but at 3500 it takes off. Maybe that is just how the max drives. I really don't know since I have just had this car for a couple of months and I bought it with a bad KS.
