ok BIG problem need help pleez!!!!!!!
ok i have a 99 se and for like 2 weeks its been having a rough idle, my dad thought it was the fuel injectors, so i ran so ams fuel injector cleaner through twice and it still runs rough and even on the road at about 50 mph. when i take off from a yeild it almost doesnt do anything and then hesitates and takes off real fast. what could it be i need a alternator (which will be done monday) and a knock sensor(also monday) could it be the tranny or fuel problem. it doesnt do it in park alot. sorry its so long but wanted all the details so pleez help me.

I had the SAME exact symptoms as you described, I changed plugs, and fuel filter, it turned out that my EGR valve was stuck open. Very easy fix... Stuck my finger in the acuator, pushed it until it slid back down. Youre done.

iac: idle air control valve. Follow your air intake until you reach 1 verticle sensor harness right by the firewall, about 8" medial to the brake booster. It's held by 2 10mm bolts. Once you get that off, you'll hafta take off another 8mm bolt that's holding another harness (once you get it off, you'll see what I mean. Then take a phillips screwdriver and take off the actuator. Clean everything, reassemble, and you're good to go there.
TPS: throttle position sensor. Too lazy to look up how to prep it. Wade through my website to find the FSM.
BTW, take your car to autozone, kragen, pep boyz, or any repair store and ask them to scan for ecu codes. Then report back to us the codes they find.
