need knock sensor help bad!

I started my 96 maxima se automatic yesterday and it wouldn't idle right and would want to die when I put it in gear. The check engine light was on so i plugged in the code scanner and got two codes: the first was P0325 (knock sensor or circuit failure) and the second was p1320 (ignition signal primary circuit fault). What is the problem is it just the knock sensor, or is one causing the other. I took out the plugs and nothing looks suspect. please any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like 1 of your coils are bad. Start car and unplug one at a time. If it changes, it's not that one. If it stays the same, that's your boy.

your symptoms are not knock sensor related, so I would worry about the other code for now and try what Jeff said

I found the bad coil and replaced it. the car is running better, but feels a bit sluggish. I am wondering if the knock sensor code was stored in the computer before the ignition problem, if so could it be what is making the car run sluggish? Anyone know how to test it? anyone?

I say reset the CEL. If the knock sensor code comes back then replace it. You can test the knock sensor with a mulitmeter. There are instructions in this thread, or they are in a haynes manual.
