I used peel and seal from lowes. Its cheap and it works well without needing a heat gun.

There is no real way to completley deaden the rattle from the trunk without paying a lot, but yes i have heard that that cheap stuff that acts like dynomat from like home depot or lowes works decently well

I used one roll for the ceiling of the trunk...although my 2-12" shivas still make the trunk rattle. I might need to put another roll of peel and seal on.

Not expensive, unless 60 bucks is too much money

How is Dynamat too expensive? a tunk kit is like 60 bucks, or 70 bucks....i got one trunk kit for 50 bucks on ebay shipped, then i got a door kit for about the same price, and i love it so i bought a bulk pack off ebay, its 39 square feet of dynamat original and i got it for $108 shipped...should be arriving today via fedex, as tracking number indicates.u just have to look around thats all....oh and i put extremeliner ($60) underneath the driver and passenger side carpet in the footwells, its like an inch thick mat and it reduces any rattling and gives u a more comfortable smoother ride than u already have...

I agree with Maximus1997. I bought a trunk kit off of ebay and although I believe the guy gave me the wrong kit (it was all Dyna Extreme, retails for $100-$150) for like $70 including shipping it worked very well. Wasn't quite enough to do the entire trunk. I had the spoiler problem as well. Turns out that because the bass was hitting so hard it broke the l.e.d.s inside the spoiler. So I took the leds off the spoiler. Dynamat really isn't all that pricey especially when you are doing your trunk. In addition to Dynamat you could try FATMAT. It's cheaper than Dynamat and works just as good. Also I got the Extremeliner as well and put it under the hood. Reduces roan and engine noise and protects the paint, but also has other uses like Maximus said.

I actually went the expensive route and went with dynamat. Ive bought a trunk kit, and 2 door kits.. However my trunk is still rattling prety bad. (Im guessing its normal is u got 2 1200 watt amps hooked up to each sub) I dont mean to ***** up the thread but how can i stop my spoiler from rattling? Thats been gettin me lately...

I have read that 2 layers of peel and seal is just as good or better than dynomat.
