starting problem please help
on my '95 maxima I am having trouble starting during mostly cold but also some warm starts. In order to get it to turn over I have to give it alot of gas. I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience or could share some suggestions. Thanks alot.

So when you try to start your engine it does not rotate & does not start unless you give it a lot of gas, or it does rotate/turn over but does not start unless you give it gas?

sorry let me clarify, the engine will turn/rotate but the only way to get it started is to give it alot of gas. And it will stall after starting if I dont give it constant gas for about 30 seconds. After that it runs fine and normal. Thanks.

I think that these guys gave you good advice. The easiest thing is to clean the throttle body, and it is cool to see how much crap you can actually take off. Motorvate at http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/517 has a good example on how to do this. After you do this and you still have issues, get a Haynes manual it has been pretty helpful for me. It has several possible problems your car may have and the things to check, and how to check them.
