So will stock 5th gen 17" wheels clear the 13" cobra rotors? Or is the offset wrong? Also can you use the stock 300zx rotor and caliper w/o the caliper adapter plate? And last, can you use the adapter plates on a 240sx? I mean does it have the same bolt pattern so you could use the cobra rotors and 300zx calipers on the 240sx?And what size are the calipers 26 or 30mm? Sorry for all the questions but I haven't contributed to the maxima.org site yet, thanks alot

Well I have 26mm alunimum ones on my 240 right now. I heard from a friend that nissan switched from aluminum to iron because of a warpage problem, I don't know if it's true or not. I just chose the aluminum ones because they only weighed 6lbs each. Plus I had the hooup at autozone for calipers. I paid just $102 for the pair and took my single piston 240 ones back as the core.

This is an old thread but here goes:
Aluminum calipers are lighter, though the iron calipers supposedly cured a caliper flex problem that the aluminum ones supposedly had.
You can use 300zx calipers on a maxima with 300zx rotors if you wish, but you must mill down the rotor a few millimeters (2-3mm off radius). To use 300zx calipers on a maxima you will need to use the 240sx to 300zx conversion lines so that you have the correct fitting to screw into the caliper.
Cobra rotors are 28mm thick, so really you could use either the 26 or 30mm 300zx calipers (I've got cobra rotors with modified stock calipers)
The calipers have the same "bolt pattern" so they will bolt right to the spindle of both a maxima and a 240sx. the issue is that the caliper will not be as far from the rotation axis on a maxima, so the use of a maxima 300zx caliper relocation bracket might result in the caliper being a few millimeters (2-3mm) further from the axis of wheel rotation on the 240sx.
if you are interested in using cobra 13" rotors on a 240sx with maxima caliper brackets, my suggestion would be to possibly contact matt93se about his caliper relocation brackets. they are designed for the use of a 300zx caliper and a 12.6" 2004 maxima rotor older maximas, so the difference in the hole spacing might be just what the doctor ordered to fit a cobra 13" rotor on a 240sx, without having to design your own custom caliper bracket.
the other issue with using cobra rotors is that they have a larger centerbore and larger lug holes, so the centering of the rotor on the hub is a bit of an issue, which can be addressed by either getting hubcentric rings from Candiman, or by doing something like I did when i first pioneered this brake swap like shimming a few of the stud holes with properly sized pieces of steel, copper, or aluminum tubing/piping.

Any stock maxima wheel will not fit. Look for wheels that fit 98 Mustang Cobras all those should fit.
Ill be using these wheels in the winter cause i got them with tires for $650, so if they take a pounding in the winter its not a big deal.

Apologize for all these questions, If someone could just give a link for the install, it would save everyone a lot of trouble... FAQ's link is down so I'm just trying to picture where everything goes before the actual install.

Im definetly considering these in the near future. Only dilemma is finding someone or a shop who'd know how to install them. Writeup anybody?
