WOW help!

OK so after i took the key out of the ingiation i turned the wheel forgetting what would happen, so when i get back into my car the key won't turn, if i press the brake, or turn the wheel nothing happends i can't get the key to turn, but it's in there. Any ideas!?!

PLEASE HELP my car is in the middle of the street

uh, i think its the steering lock or sumthing like that. happened to me the first time and i didn't know what to do. just turn the steering wheel back left or right and start the car at same time

you wheel is locked, you just need to straighten your wheel, keep turning it to straighten it and try turning the key, it should give, just put some muscle into it.

Happen to my mom and her corolla, drove her crazy till we figured it out.

the wheel won't turn anymore
i'll go try but i tryed once. hummm

The wheel will turn just a bit to the left-right... wiggle it while you turn the key and it will unlock.

Just wiggle the steering wheel. Seems like almost every car I've driven has done this.

Yeah i just jacked it to the right, and it became loose, then it started up like a champ. it can be stuburn sometimes, and it needs some new shoes, but god i love my maxima.

same thing happened to me like 1 week after i got the car heh... i even went back indoor and gave my 2nd key a try... after a few "/*$& and "/$/&$*$ i gently turned the steering wheel and it worked... i felt dumb but relieved...

haha, yea, i remember my mom wanted to borrow my car while i was sleeping, and i did the wheel thing the nite b4, she was trying to start it for at least 15min before waking me up, lol
