what's up guys, i finally had time to do the pop intake...first impression...when i gunned it i felt like i was driving a mustang..that **** really hauls ***..I bought an adapter from my local shop and a filter from from procarparts.com. My first question is are those filter good if anyone has experience with them? also i was not able to get the bottom piece off of the stock intake from the car since i dint have right tools so i just left it there..is there any cons to this? the filter i got did not fit the adapter on the outside but it fit from the inside. Instead of adapter going inside the filter, filter went inside the adapter cuz the mouth of the filter was small. can i have it like this? i put some tape on it to make sure that no air is passing through between the adapter and filter but not sure if i put enough tape. does it matter if the air goes through between the filter and the adapter, cuz i am sure that there is not enough room for some big thing to go through the middle since the filter fits in the adapter just right. please help me with this....thanx in advance..........

so where did u put the air temp sensor?

i have an S&B intake... and i cant put my air temp intake sensor anywhere.. so i left it dangling in the engine... did u do this also? or did u drill a hole into the filter and stick the sensor in there?

Just look at my attachment. Zipties are wonderful things.

For the JWT pop intake, you don't have to drill a hole. Why make life harder for yourself?

Just take the filter apart and slide the sensor inside and then tighten the filter back up.

That would work but the sensor would just rattle around inside the popcharger. I took a picture and showed him where I zip tied it.

Not if you slide only a little bit in. Just enough so that the sensor and a little bit of wire would be inside and it wouldn't rattle.

Mine doesn't rattle. And besides... with all the noise (engine, pop intake, radio) you wouldn't hear the rattling anyways.

I see what you mean but the sensor looks kinda delicate. I know it has a protector around it but I just didn't like the idea of it rattling around inside the popcharger. I don't know if my zip tie idea is any better though.

For those who are looking for an adapter to connect a cone air intake, you can find it on ebay. I bought mine from ebay and works perfectly. The filter I got is the twister model made by Autotechnics. Everything fits perfectly besides the fact that there is nothing holding the filter up, so it just kinda rests against the metal of the car right on top of the front wheel. Does anyone have an idea to fix this? For the sensor, I just ziptied it near the filter.

What I used to rest the filter onis the foam gasket stuff that comes with the K&N filter panel . I stuck some under the filter so it cushions it against the metal. works perfect.

I don't know where you guys bought the pop filter from, but I bought mine from Cattman and it came with a bracket to hold the filter up.
