Hard time starting????
#8
I had an integra that did that. It would start if I turned the key first, and quickly presses on the clutch. They replaced the starter, and cleaned the battery terminal.
Currently on my Maxima I am having the same problem, my battery termials are clean... I hope my starter is going!

does anybody have a write up on how to test the cam sensor and crankposition sensor??
Don't want to spend any more money on this car..
I have spent enough this year on it.
Looking to trade it in for a new max or g35 in about a year or two...

Camshaft sensor located at the left side of the engine, near water pump. Unplug harness and undo one screw holding it in.
To test: resisitence should be 1440-1760 ohms for hitachi
2090-2550 ohms for mitsubishi
Crankshaft is located in transaxle housing, facing the gear teeth of the flywheel.
To test: remove sensor and backprobe terminals with a voltmeter and it should read 5 volts. After you touch the sensor core, the voltage should drop to zero volts. If it doesnt, faulty sensor.
YOU CAN ALWAYS SCRAP THE ENDS OF THE SENSORS(they are magnetic) TO REMOVE THE BUILDUP THATS EFFECTING THE MAGNETIC FIELD
