steering wheel question

will a steering wheel from a 95-96 maxima be a direct swap to a 97-99 maxima. are they the exact same steering wheel? I have a 5th gen so I don't know much about 4th gen max's. My gf just got a 97 4th gen and her steering wheel is peeling off. I found a mint condition steering wheel from a 96 max but not sure if they changed steering wheels during those 2 years. Please help.

Well 95-96 and 97-99 have different shape sheering wheels. In addition to that, the airbags are different on SE and GLE/GXE as well. Try to find your lady a nice 97-99 steering wheel, she'll be happy.
