Ive heard a lot of people say that if you get new rims and tires that you might have to get your spedometer reset so it is correct. How can you do this? Or how much does it cost on the average to get it done? Also what is the best size wheel to get? Do the 17's rub on the fender at all? My buddy had them a long time ago and said that his did rub a little. I wouldnt ever go any bigger than 17's anyway but was just curious on what a good size for the wheels and tires to be. Thanks

You don't have to adjust the speedometer if you keep the stock diameter. If you want 17s, the ideal size is 17x8 (35-40mm offset) and 235/45ZR/17. That doesn't even come close to rubbing, even with a lowered suspension

Try this site...

You can calculate how your speedo will be affected with different size wheels and tires.

You don't adjust the speedometer for 18s or 19s, either, as long as you get the correct-sized tires. It's all about the outer diameter of the tire.
