Well, my steering wheel is quickly coming to its end.
It is extremly worn and as much fun as dusting off the pieces of leather is, it's time to fix it.

I looked into it a little not too long ago, and it seems like my best option is to get a wheelskins leather cover. You guys agree? Anybody have a better suggestion?
If wheelskins is the way to go, does anybody have any pics of it installed?

Thanks!

i have the same problem & even though it doesn't look that bad, i want it to look like brand new again...

i've been searching for a new steering wheel e-bay/here on maxima.org but no luck yet... i don't think i'll find a new one but maybe one that is in really really good condition...

i was wondering about the wheelskins though...

Wheelskins are awesome. I got the Eurotone, it's two-tone. Couldn't be happier. I even bought one for my dad's car.

Me too. Eventually the light gray part got all dirty, so I took it off. I may replace it with an all black one one day. Can't fault the overall quality though.

Pic I took through my dirty window a while ago:

I don't have any pics of my Wheelskins cover but i have to give it .. I solid ordered the solid brown leather to match my dash and interior on my max.. I think its a great buy and the color even matches my e-brake cover.. I've gotten many compliments on it and my uncle had to get on for his Frontier when he saw how good mine looked..

MadChef, let me know if you order one and like it, and how well it matches the interior brown color. I am considering this also.

Would this be "sand" on top/bottom with "oak" on the sides, because that looks excellent???

Yes it is. It's the Euro-tone one. You might want to check with them first though, because I didn't have the factory wheel cover, you do. Therefore it will be a thicker wheel to cover. But they make custom ones, just give them couple measurements. That's what they did for my dad's Accord Coupe.

The oak... the owner said brown is not for the Maxima.

http://www.dccarcare.com/ This is where I got mine. The owner is a really nice guy, call him with any questions.

Hey Felix thanks for the help, this solves my steering wheel trouble, and I love the look of the euro two tone, I'm definitely going to order one, probably the same as Nimo's as we have the same interior and it's nice to see it in the flesh (pardon the pun) even same triple pillar pod, do you happen to have a link to his domain?, I checked out yours nice grill and wheels, we have the same tails, good to see some else who doesn't hate em!

I have the same interior too. I felt bad copying of Nismo, but that steering wheel cover looks great. Here's his homepage - http://www.cardomain.com/id/dragonmax. My homepage hasn't been updated in a while, but thanks for the compliments bro.
