I bought a Hayden 403 at Auto Zone today. He said they didnt have 404 and the 403 would work. Is this right? Ok I have posted on this before and im sure your all getting sick of my Installation questions but I have absolutely no Idea how to install this thing. Can someone please give me some detailed instructions with pictures or something. I am new to the this kind of thing. Like I said before I have never done any kind of work on my engine except changing my oil, well and now my air filter but other than that nothing. So sorry for the repetitive installation questions but any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

here's a page how to install it yes i believe the 404 and the 403 are the same just that the 403 is a bit smaller. http://grprete.jnet.net/Greg's%20Garage/1999%20Nissan%20Maxima%20SE/1999%20Nissan%20Maxima%20SE%20-%20Xmission%20Cooler.htm

yeah the 404 is almost the same as the 403 its

just that the 403 is an inch shorter but its wider than the 404 model. But the 404 model is still bigger. Go to Pepboys and they will have the 404 model. I just installed the 404 model on my 88 on Saturday and its great. Since I had to modify things for my car it was about an hour job but since you all have more room in the front of your cars, it should be easier. It takes only 30 minutes to do, but I had to go to the store once to get some stuff.

Can anyone help me out I cant find anything. Is this done from underneath the car or just with the hood open? Where exactly does it go? Can someone please give me some detailed instructions? max88q i looked at your directions but they didnt really help that much. Probably because I dont know the engine very well. (Very new to this) Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! Thanks

I just installed the Hayden 403 Trans cooler today and I like the results. The shifts are a bit firmer and I hope my transmission keeps driving strong for many more miles. I had instructions from Greg Prete's website and they helped a lot. He said we will have his site up soon so I would wait for that, before you start. Buy Hayden cooler kit with 4 feet of extra hose and some black zip ties. The work is done with hood open and also under the car. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

Cooler

Sorry guys, my website is down and will be until I get a new ISP. Luckily, my tranny cooler install notes are right here on Maxima.Org in the SHOP TALK section.

Will let everyone know when my site is back online. Looks like it will be about a week.
