Spark plug gap?
Spark plug gap?
what do you people recommend for plug gap on the ngk platinuns? the plugs come pregapped, but the gap varied a LOT between the 6 plugs. any input? don't know about this car, but on my srt-4 plug gap makes a HUGE difference. - thanks
You want to gap them because they often get messed up in shipping. Besides, the tool is like $1 and lets face it, gapping plugs ain't rocket science. The gap should be .039-.044" (or 11mm, which is where the 11 in the part number comes from).
totall important to gap
my srt made 22whp more on the dyno with just regapping
although being turbocharged its a bit different. the max used to get ~440 mi/tank, im lucky to get 260 now
replaced ignition coils (4 tested bad lol) fuel filter, and plugs. still getting crappy mileage. i removed the k/s and put in a 470k ohm resistor. performance came back but mileage still sucks. my dad bought a pop charger for it. again, feel a difference, but no mileage change. any other ideas? will regap at .044 and see what happens. thanks guys!

Check your codes. Maybe knock sensor (which won't trip the light, but will give a code). I don't think this could cause that much of a mileage difference. Could also be O2's, I've heard they can be bad without giving a code at all.
