my sunroof is making a very annoying ratteling noise and the problem is getting worse each day. i checked the How To's sticky, but the post in there for repairing the sunroof isn't very detailed. i was looking for something more detailed on how to go about removing the interior lights, plastic pillar covers, interior handles, headliner etc... anyone know where I can find something like this?

 

I believe they sell a sunroof repair kit for around 37 dollars

 

sorry...noobie here.... I saw the repair kit in the Sticky but was wondering if more detailed instructions existed for how to take all the interior lights, handles, plastic pillar pieces and headliner out of the car. Does everything just snap in place? I don't want to go pulling stuff apart and break anything...

front light pops out, dome light(center) pop out plastic lens than 2 screws, oh **** handles pull em down pop off covers to access screws, visors pop off cover where arm meets headliner, visor snap thingys just one screw can see from underside, a,b,c pillar covers just pop off (carefully) for the b pillar you wil have to remove the seatbelt (pop off cover to reveal 14mm? bollt) you will probably have to half remove the lower b pillar cover also cause the top sits behind it. theres probably snaps built into the headliner alont the rear window, just pull down. and all around the sunroof is either two sided tape or velcro, just pull to remove. careful removing from car, you will have to "taco" it but dont crease it too much. its pretty easy i can do in 10 mins, although i do remove headliners all day long (i install aftermarket sunroofs) good luck. this might help ya.

Hey 99se5spd, maybe you could give me some insight on this. My sunroof is messed up but it's not factory so I don't know were to get a repair kit similar to the OEM one. I believe it was a dealer installed option (or the dealer may have sent it out to have done), but it has different controls than the one actually put in by nissan. The controls say ASC (which is a company called american sunroof's inalfa or something like that). You have any idea were I could get whatever I might need to fix this thing? Thanks for any info you can give me.
