any1 know the code that occurs when the gas cap was not on right or the filler stem had to much gas? also, when you manually turn the engine light off, does that reset the error code or is it still in there if you back for a manual read?

 

i had my light on and mechanic gave me two codes- 155 (heater) & 325 (knock sensor). Being a holiday in NY, the store was closed so he could not get the sensor... so i guess he reset the code... now, the light has not come back since then... does that mean that it was a fluke or do the sensors still need to be replaced?

 

Knock sensor is a ghost code, it will not trip the CEL...probably still needs to be replaced. The code will still show if you check most likely.

 

if you pull codes and reset the ECU, the light will be off, but once the ECU runs through its cycle again (approx 200 miles) then the light will come back on as there is still a problem with say the KS. SO its off for now but will come back on till the problem is fixed.
