Popping sounds
Popping sounds
At first I thought it was my CV axels.. but I don't get it as much when I'm driving.. I can have my car sitting and turn the wheels in either direction and I get some pop or clicking sound.. It sounds kinda like a spring or bad strut. Has anyone ever had this type of problem, if so what was the reason for this happening? Its very annoying. I need to get my car aligned so I want to fix all suspension problems before doing so if it is a spring/strut/cv problem
Thanks.
Thanks.
if you turn your wheel fully to the right or left and drive in a circle and hear the popping, you probably need to replace your cv joints from what i have heard.
also you can take off your wheels and visually check them by looking for any cracks in the rubber or leaks i believe
good luck

strut bearings dude, it's got to be. cv joints are different, but maxima's have this strut bearing problem all over the world. all three of our 4gens sittin on the parking lot had the same problem. i went to the nissan dealership and got them for 50 dollars each. quite expensive for a little tri-rotary piece, but you need it. while you are at it, get the spacers, it's better that way. the popping noize comes from the worn out plastic piece that actually pop the spring agains the strut. while doing the replacement, i also did the tokico suspension at the same time. so get to work and good luck.
