Oil light flickers at startup - own 98 Maxima SE

Lately I have had some off starts. I usually starts right away. But sometimes now it takes a bit to start, and then I notice the oil light flickers in no specific pattern...it kind of lights up fades away, then lights up again and fades a way a couple times and then stays off. The light does this as soon as the car actually starts. But on a good start I get no light flicker. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance

Replace your oil pressure sending unit. It's a known problem with our cars.

You might have also just gotten a oil filter with a leaky anti-drainback valve - so its taking longer to rebuild the oil pressure in the crankcase after the car has been sitting a while... have you had/done a oil change recently (i.e. somewhere around the time this light flickering began)?

I have had an oil change lately, but I changed it after the problem started. So it was happening before and after the oil change. I changed the oil to see if that was the problem. but the problem is still there. I'll change the Oil Pressure Sensor...I guess I will have to do another oil change, in order to remove the oil pressure sensor...Thanks though!!
